Every Arctic Monkeys Album Ranked Worst To Best

3. Suck It And See

Arctic Monkeys' most underrated album, perhaps because it lacks a definitive hit single like its predecessors and successors, Suck It and See boasts some of Alex Turner's best lyrics and most consistent sound of all the band's work.

With some of his most inventive song titles, 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair' and 'The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala' being two stand outs, Turner seems to be having a blast on his fourth album. With less rocky numbers than its previous outings, Suck It and See is a more gentle ride which may be why the band feature barely any of these songs in their high octane live performances.

The album also features a rare two-hander as Alex Turner shares the mic with drummer Matt Helders in 'Brick by Brick', the album's closest track to the rock-heavy anthems the band had previously played. More than any of their albums before or after, Suck It and See benefits from listening to it in its entirety as one song transitions smoothly into the next compared to some of their other tonally jarring discography.
