They were climbing the mountain to greatness, and the sales of this record proved they were well on the way, but Blink weren't quite at their peak musically on TOYPAJ. The big-hitting singles First Date and The Rock Show are vintage Blink-182, while Stay Together For The Kids signals the change of tone that was to really take hold of the group over the rest of their initial run.
Considered the second instalment in Blink's glory years from 1999-2003, the band were untouchable in the pop-punk landscape at this point. A massive co-headline tour with Green Day planted the flag for both bands and the genre - this was music that tapped into the soul of the teenage apathy across the globe at the start of the 2000s.
Blink bagged another US double platinum record for TOYPAJ.
