Every Queen Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

14. In The Lap Of The Gods… Revisited - Sheer Heart Attack

The second side of Queen's third album, Sheer Heart Attack, opens with a song called In the Lap of the Gods, a mad, bombastic fantasy-tinged number. Later on that same side, the band revisited the tune with a song called In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited.

This sequel is some classic Queen stuff; Freddie singing his little heart out over the top of an appropriately grandiose backing with some beautiful harmonies to accompany him. It rounds the album off in a nice singalong way, which might explain why the band used to it to close out their sets.

However, without the joy of a large crowd joining in, this song gets a little repetitive after a while and just doesn't stack up to the rest of this list.

It's still pretty good though.
