Every Queen Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

11. God Save The Queen - A Night At The Opera

Queen could have ended their legendary 1975 album A Night at the Opera with Bohemian Rhapsody, which would have probably landed it the top spot on this list.

Instead, they put that song second-to-last, and closed things out with a version of the national anthem instead.

Arranged and performed on the guitar by Brian May, this interpretation of God Save the Queen differs very little from the original and could probably be subbed in for the real thing with little complaint from the British public.

Despite only being a brief instrumental (and it not being Bohemian Rhapsody), God Save the Queen has ascended to a semi-legendary status within the Queen fandom, partially because its the bookend of one of the greatest albums ever made, and partly because May once performed it on the roof of Buckingham Palace.

Doesn't get much cooler than that.
