Every Queen Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Princes Of The Universe - A Kind Of Magic

A Kind of Magic from 1986 serves as an unofficial soundtrack to the fantasy film Highlander, for which Queen did the music.

Unfortunately, the album's closer and the movie's main theme, Princes of the Universe, is on the weaker side of songs featured in the film.

To be fair, it's up against some stiff competition from the likes of A Kind of Magic and Who Wants to Live Forever, but it doesn't help itself with its silly refrain and uninteresting structure. There's a lot of energy behind it and the harmonies are nice, but overall, it just feels a bit limp.

Still, for being part of such an iconic film, Princes of the Universe should still get some credit. Thank God it wasn't in Highlander 2, otherwise it might well have been at the bottom of the list.
