Fleetwood Mac Albums Ranked From Worst To Best
13. Heroes Are Hard To Find
Heroes are hard to find but apparently albums that have gone too far under the radar are in even shorter supply. This album fits neatly into the obscure rapport that Fleetwood Mac have certainly solidified over the decades, but unlike it's counterparts "Heroes are Hard to Find" remains a more fastidious collection of precariously written tracks. Not the type to particularly transcend time but at the same time shouldn't have fallen into the pit of insignificance it's inhabited for too long.
Unfortunately though, the album suffers in a few departments with the most prominent flaw surprisingly not being the nightmarish album cover that encases it.
The cracks lie in the production mainly, as from one track to the next they tend to embody an horrific distortion disguised as vocals, Bob Welch left after it's release and maybe it was for the best as his spearheading of this project makes it feel like a black sheep in an array of albums that sound wildly different from one another. It still holds up far better than Welch's solo remake of Silver Heels (entitled Hustler) though.
