Fleetwood Mac Albums Ranked From Worst To Best
14. Mr. Wonderful
One of the most unsuitably named albums in the erratic dynasty is the follow-up to Peter Green's sophomore effort and conceptually it sounded like a hit. Instead we ended up with a monotone, cathartic mix as the melodic enchantment from the first album all but disintegrated, advantageously, this successive entry could've learnt from the minimal mistakes created by it's predecessor. It instead quadrupled them.
In the bands original outing not only did the music sound naturally diegetic as it was edited properly, but it also had the benefit of not sounding like it was recorded in a bar during the happiest of happy hours. The worst part of that metaphor is that it's more of a reference to the vocals recorded, disparagingly manipulated by the overtones of a drunken idiot.
Mr. Wonderful might be a pseudonym for something else, but it isn't exactly a disguise that hides the multitude of embarrassing moments that should've stayed in the rehearsal room; if not the giant waste container stationed at the back of the pub it was probably written in.
