Guns N' Roses: 13 Notorious Incidents You Won't Believe
5. Urinating On An Airplane
Lets just say that every Guns N' Roses member did their share. In August of 1989, Izzy Stradlin and the rest of the band were on hiatus. Axl had given them all a warning: get your act together if you want this band to last. Sadly, the warning wasn't heeded by the group's co-founder: Stradlin found himself on an airplane from Indiana, where he was visiting family (he and Rose grew up there), back to Los Angeles. He never even made it, being hauled off the plane in Phoenix, AZ. Why? Well, it seems he decided to get really drunk, light up a cigarette, verbally abuse a flight attendant - and take a leak in an aisle. Right in front of the rest of the plane, who were probably expecting a quiet flight featuring a bad movie. Reportedly angry at having to wait to use the restroom, his publicist later claimed he was "expressing himself" - showing that even in the 80s, public relations employees were just as useful as they are today. Stradlin wound up quitting the band during the Use Your Illusion era and cleaning up at long last, though since the mid-2000s he has made frequent appearances on-stage with his old friend Axl and the band's current line-up.
