Guns N' Roses: 15 Obscure Tracks You've Probably Never Heard

8. Cornshucker

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLUSyxRnUGw Source: GN'R Lies demo Sometimes labelled Cornchucker, this track is essentially an ode to anal sex, and features lyrics too filthy to really reprint here. It was recorded during sessions for GN'R Lies, but left off the album, perhaps because the quota for shocking tracks on that disc was already taken up by One in a Million. Years later, shock rock band The Mentors claimed they had recorded the song first, and that GN'R had "stolen" it - however GN'R never released the track, and thus didn't profit from it, moreover, the tracks weren't that similar at all, aside from the name. Former bassist Duff McKagan addressed this in an answer to a fan (reprinted in Dear Guitar Hero):
"I had just listened to a Mentors record. They played what you might call €œabusive sex rock. They were really sick dudes. GN'R were recording at Sound City and laying down every song we knew in a 48-hour period. We recorded something like 30 songs. At one point, I was out in the main tracking room playing guitar and singing a song that I was making up on the spot, and Axl goes "Dude, what the hell is that?" And I said, "It's called Cornshucker! I Just wrote it." He loved it. We were just fucking around and laughing. The song was too brutal to put out, even for us."
The Mentors (whose frontman had died years earlier) eventually claimed they would sue the band for 90% of their profits, but it went nowhere. More than anything, it was a move for publicity, and probably earned them a few extra hits on Youtube.
