2. Acting Surprised At Awards Is Kinda Cocky In Itself
The next point that was brought up was the fact that Ms. Swift's haters,"...also get upset at her for acting surprised whenever she wins an award." Well...yeah, that's something to get upset about. When you get to Ms. Swift's level of success (150 Awards, a cummulative 23 consecutive weeks on Billboards Top 100 at #1 for all of her albums, and 14 different #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100) awards stop being a surprise and start to become expected/anticipated. It would be really, really hard to Now that's not saying she's an award hungry war monger, but let's face it...the last time the girl was surprised by an award was probably when she won the Best Attendance Record certificate in grade school. Acting surprised is an indirect way of saying, "Who me? Oh wow, I didn't see this coming at all. 150 awards is a fluke, really. I didn't expect any after 150." You start to look like you have a sense of entitlement if you look too surprised after too many awards, so maybe it's best to dial it down a bit. You don't have to act surprised, Taylor. Humble, sure. Bashful, maybe. Honored, definitely. But acting surprised is disingenuous, and it doesn't help your already kinda colorful image. That said, you are allowed to be proud. I mean who wouldn't be? 150 awards, and she's still at the beginning of her 20's?! That's impressive, no matter how you slice it, but you still need to keep an even head about your success. It's ok if you're not surprised, but don't look like you're demanding the award at the same time.
