5. Olly Murs
Another graduate of the sixth series of the X factor, and another contestant who has turned out more successful than winner, Joe McElderry. It was always obvious that while Joe had a more impressive vocal talent, Olly Murs was always a much more marketable pop star. Since finishing runner up on the show in 2009, Murs has gone on to score four number 1 singles in the UK, along with two chart topping albums. Additionally, he has also had some success in Europe, and his track Troublemaker, featuring Flo Rida, managed to reach 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. He has also presented on The X Factor spin off show, The Xtra Factor.
