Kanye West: 10 Best Songs You Haven't Heard
4. Hold My Liquor (Feat. Bon Iver & Chief Keef)
It takes a special kind of artist to derive emotion out of Chief Keef, but it was managed by Kanye & Co. here. Yeezus is the most anti-commercial project Kanye has ever dropped, which left it an obvious choice for some deep cuts. However, the fact that this was the lowest charting Yeezus song is quite incredible.
On top of an excellent Chief Keef performance, the song includes the king of vocal manipulation, Bon Iver. The song has this powerful vibe from the unlikely pairing of Chief Keef and Bon Iver. Kanye West's verse is stuck in between these transformer sounds, giving the delivery this sharp edge.
The trio combine to make a weird electronic explosion near the end of the track, which is pretty awesome. The excellent guitar outro ends this insane Yeezus cut.
