Katy Perry has allowed her fans access to all parts of her life both good and bad. Because of this, she has been able to teach us that life is journey filled with ups and downs but that every experience that you encounter is vital in order to learn about life and grow as a person. Perry penned the song Wide Awake about moments when you realise that everything is not as it seems and the lessons that such moments can teach us. The accompany music video for Wide Awake tells the fairytale like story of Perry navigating the maze of life and overcoming all the hardships she faces along the way. In an interview with ABC News, Perry was asked about what in her life she would do differently if she could, she replied €˜nothing€™. She went on to compare life experiences to a scar saying that although the wound hurt at the time, it healed to form a scar and every time you see that scar it reminds you a lesson you have learned in life. Perry teaches us that every up and down in life is a valuable learning opportunity that will help us in the future.
