Kiss: 10 Awesome '90's Songs You've Never Heard

8. "Paralyzed" - Revenge, 1992

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv93koEhygw This track was wrtitten by Gene Simmons with another assist going to producer Ezrin. Running a close second to 'Unholy',the best Simmons tune on Revenge, it features some particularly strong lead work by Kulick and a memorable pre-chorus with a nice groove. By this point in Kiss' career Simmons was definitely the weaker songwriter between him and Stanley and regrettably much of his other output on Revenge is forgettable. The lyric is the antithesis of who and what we have come to understand Gene Simmons to be. In this track he is as far from his God of Thunder persona as possible which is quite certainly a curiosity. It would be interesting to ask the long-tongued wonder what was in his mind when he penned it.
