Korn: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best
1. Korn
It's impossible to overstate just how revolutionary Korn's debut album was upon its release in 1994. Single-handedly creating a new sub-genre of metal, Korn's self-titled record started with Davis yelling "Are you ready?!" and then spent twelve tracks proving that we were not, in fact, prepared for what was to come.
From the opening notes of "Blind" to the lyric insanity of "Ball Tongue," from the angst found in "Clown" to the deeply troubling "Daddy," the band's first album is a metal masterpiece front to back, and has aged like fine wine considering it's now twenty six years old.
Though the music talents of the guitars, bass and drums are to die for throughout the record, the album's true stand-out will forever be the vocal talent of Jonathan Davis, who moves seamlessly between the melodies of "Clown," the breakdowns of "Blind," and the pain of "Daddy" without fault, the music assisting him to create one of the most brutal, moving and profound metal records of all time.
This was the start of it all, and Korn haven't looked back since.
