Kurt Cobain - Remembering Nirvana's 5 Best Ever Songs

2. Come As You Are

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G8V6ta9Auk Following "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Come As You Are was the second single on Nevermind and the band's second American Top 40 hit. I have again decided to feature the "Unplugged" version simply because it's much more poignant and emotional, and equally as good as the original recording. "Come As You Are" is perhaps one of Nirvana's better known songs with its music video, featuring Cobain swinging away on a chandelier, water flowing into the room, a dog wearing a cone collar and images of a baby swimming underwater - a reference to the now-famous artwork from Nevermind - is one of the band's most famous. As a tribute to Kurt, in 2005, a sign reading "Welcome to Aberdeen: Come As You Are" was erected in Cobain's hometown. Perhaps one of the most famous of his lyrics will now forever be immortalised in popular culture.
