Leeds Festival 2015 Review : 7 Best Performances On Sunday

6. Marmozets

Take two parts Paramore, one part early Biffy Clyro and mix with a cup of Skunk Anansie, and a pinch of Alanis Morissette and you might be close to what Marmozets sound like live. Propelled by Becca Macintyre€™s stage presence - which gets more raw and more screamy when she€™s let loose live - they€™re a beautiful thing to behold on stage. And the likeness to Biffy is particularly pertinent: like the Scottish titans, Marmozets have been around a lot longer than their flirtation with more mainstream audiences might be aware. Since 2007 they€™ve honed a stage show that is tight and refined, despite the rawness and energy, and their progress to bigger stages and bigger crowds is entirely earned, if this performance was anything to go by.
