Leeds Festival 2015 Review : 7 Best Performances On Sunday

2. Alexisonfire

Homecomings, reformations and farewells are the best things about music festivals: there€™s always something different in the air and the emotion usually makes proceedings more emotional and more intense. When the band being welcomed back are Alexisonfire, intensity was never an issue in the first place, but the re-addition of Dallas Green to the fold is the kind of good news the music industry needs more often. Having parted in 2011, the reunion - which hopefully isn€™t just part of a limited run of €œone-offs€ was as impressive as if the band have been together uninterrupted. They€™re brilliantly loud, effortlessly cool and embarrassingly good at what they do, and if they€™re not back on the festival circuit next year in Europe, fans will be robbed once more of one of the greatest live experiences in modern rock. But at least we were all there this time out, right?
