Marilyn Manson: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best

9. The High End Of Low

The High End of Low should have been a far better record than the one we got. Featuring the long-awaited return of Twiggy Ramirez, the lead single "Arma-goddamn-motherf*cking-geddon" promised fans a return to the more angst-ridden and controversial tunes that had domnated the band's earlier career.

Aside from the lead single, though, The High End of Low ends up suffering in much the same way as Eat Me, Drink Me. At the time of its production, Manson had gone through his next big divorce, and the songs often reflect that he was once more in a wounded, dark place. Songs like "I Want To Kill You Like They Do In The Movies" also did very little to help the album's overall image.

That being said, there are good moments in the album, particularly from the melodic and criminally underrated "Running to the Edge of the World" and the often clever fusion of metal, synth and country, but even the high moments of the record can't save it from its low points.

Best Songs: Running to Edge of the World, We're From America, Arma-goddamn-motherf*cking-geddon
