Marilyn Manson: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best

8. Heaven Upside Down

Manson's second record working alongside Tyler Bates saw a great improvement on the artist's previous records. From the heavy and dark tones of "We Know Where You F*cking Live" to the disturbing but catchy "Kill4Me," Heaven Upside Down kept up the band's momentum that had been built up with The Pale Emperor.

The album benefits from being Manson's most tightly-wound creations, since it's only ten tracks long. There's no filler, no real missteps, and every song features a new sound and collision of genres.

But there is a problem that keeps it from being much higher, in that it never takes any risks. Featuring the same line-up and themes from the previous record, it never separates itself from The Pale Emperor, and seems more like a continuation of their more recent work rather than a new daring addition to their CV. It's a great listen, and is relentless in its intensity, but it misses out simply because the other albums have more to say.

Best Songs: Tattooed in Reverse, We Know Where You F*cking Live, Kill4Me
