Marilyn Manson: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best

3. Portrait Of An American Family

This was Marilyn Manson's first album, complete with an actual line-up and a clear sense that music fans around the world were in the presence of something both new and game-changing. Easily the band's most disturbing record, Portrait of an American Family burst onto the screen with shocking lyrics, creepy industrial beats and literally zero filter.

Portrait has it all, fusing together rock, pop, disco, synth, and goth with striking effects. Behind the spooky imagery, serial killer-inspired names and shocking personas, it was clear that Marilyn Manson were more than just walking controversy - they were a band, with things to say and great music to offer.

The best songs are the rebellious anthems, which spoke to the outcasts and teens of the 90s in a major way. "Lunchbox" and "Get Your Gunn" in particular showed the band as more than shock-rockers, but relatable and wonderfully twisted musicians.

Best Songs: Lunchbox, Get Your Gunn, Dope Hat
