Mark Tremonti's 10 Best Guitar Solos

6. Bleed It Dry

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjcFzGQMRIM Thanks to Myles Kennedy being a jazz guitar teacher and his love for the blues, Alter Bridge fans saw a definitive increase in the amount of licks Tremonti started putting out either during warmup sessions or during live guitar duels that were also of a similar persuasion. Myles has also developed his skills to replicate something like the anarchic Peace Is Broken riff, but it's with Bleed It Dry that we see just how far Mark has come as a player. With many fans who didn't follow the behind-the-scenes videos or interviews leading to the release of the album thinking that this piece was actually Myles, it proves just how absolutely gorgeous Tremonti's vibrato technique and note selection has become. That's not to mention a section in the middle of the solo where you'll swear there's two guitars playing at once, but it's actually just his fantastically-elastic fingers stretching to cover all bases and simultaneously inventing an entirely new technique in the process.
