Misfits: Ranking All 7 Studio Albums From Worst To Best

3. American Psycho (1997)

It's always a bit worrisome when a popular band reforms after a years-long hiatus, especially when one of their key figures is no longer present. However, the Misfits absolutely made it work with their 1997 comeback album 'American Psycho'.

This was the band's first record with Michale Graves as the frontman and to say that he brought his A-game would be an understatement. The very moment this album's title track began, any and all doubt that he could fill the shoes of Glenn Danzig went right out the window.

In addition to its stellar title track, 'American Psycho' has a whole host of other exceptional songs to its name.

'The Haunting' and 'Don't Open 'Til Doomsday' are beyond catchy and energetic, 'Crimson Ghost' is an enjoyably fierce song that also acts as a clever nod to the origin of the Misfits' iconic logo, and 'Dig Up Her Bones' is objectively one of the single best songs in the band's entire catalog that showcases Graves at his very best (in terms of both songwriting and vocal ability.)

'American Psycho' is, without a doubt, the crown jewel of the Misfits' late '90s/early 2000s revival period.
