Misfits: Ranking All 7 Studio Albums From Worst To Best
2. Walk Among Us (1982)
'Walk Among Us' was the first studio album to be released by the Misfits and, to this very day, holds up as being one of their single-best outings of all time.
First of all, while this was their first full-length album to find its way to record stores, it was technically not the first to be recorded. By the time 'Walk Among Us' hit shelves in 1982, the Misfits were already a seasoned act, having cut their teeth with the 'Static Age' sessions, the EPs '3 Hits from Hell' and 'Beware', and several album-less singles.
In other words, the Misfits already knew full well what they were doing and what their audience liked when they put this record together. This resulted in timeless, hard-hitting punk tracks that remain some of the band's most iconic, such as 'Astro Zombies', 'Hatebreeders', and 'I Turned Into A Martian'.
This album also features arguably the best lineup of the Misfits' original run, with Glenn Danzig on vocals, brothers Doyle and Jerry Only on guitar and bass, respectively, and the underrated Arthur Googy on drums.
In short, it's not exactly hard to see why this first studio album has been so difficult for the band to top.
