Myles Kennedy's 10 Most Impressive Vocal Moments

8. Starlight - Slash (Slash)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BTad4tTdrE Oh Myles God At: Every single chorus. Back around late 2008 Slash barely had any idea who Myles was, but following a recommendation from a friend he ended up checking out some demo tapes for his upcoming solo album. This lead to Kennedy receiving not one but two guest spots on the finished product, with Back From Cali and the gorgeous Starlight respectively. Slash and Myles managed to get on so well that it lead to the rock n' roll dream-album Apocalyptic Love in 2012, a combination of Myles' remarkably introspective and emotional lyrics twinned with Slash's signature sleazy attack on the guitar. Needless to say, it was on nearly every rock fan's Album of the Year list. Back to Starlight though and it's the song that Myles has mentioned is a "real b*tch to sing" due to how much he has to warm his vocal chords up to hit those high notes in every chorus. What a phenomenal piece of musicianship though; from the beautiful fingerpicked intro to every time the "Don't you cry/ We're gonna find a way" lines hit, both artists were at the top of their game.
