NASS Festival 2013 - The Review

Skate PR 2 Moving swiftly onto sports. For those who don't know, NASS is more than just a festival - its an event. Skating, Inline, BMX, you name it, they got it. Spain's Danny Leon stole the skateboarding competition in a heartbeat having many flawless runs on day three of NASS's 2013 World Cup of skateboarding. A truly mind-blowing event. I thought the amateurs were more than exciting during the weekend let alone the world professionals. 2nd place went to Sao Paulo's Kelvin Hoefler and place 3rd to the Brazilian, Diego Fiorese. If the build up to the competitions took too long, NASS also featured world class freestyle skaters which were even more mind-blowing. To these guys, a skateboard is more of an appendage than an item. For BMX, this year round saw the Australians battling out for 1st place and what an intense struggle that came out to be. Logan Martin came out on top smashing the box with 1080's, 720's and tail whips galore. A very close comp with many nails in tatters after how tense the final was. If there is a gap in your life, the answer is more sports. More riské sports. BPFEPFzCIAA0g4v.jpg-large Did you attend? Was it your festival of the year? Either way, you can expect something similar across the board for the sister Relentless festivals coming in August and then again later this year, so lets get on it! There is nothing better than being in a beautiful location with beautiful weather with ultimately beautiful people. NASS had it, but other festival's around this summer, I'm not so sure. With day tickets face value at £39 or less, for the money NASS is perfection. You can expect the same next year, if not better. #NASSHYPE.
