5. White Lace And Strange

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hlNIh-qFiQ White Lace and Strange was recorded during the band's first ever live radio session, and was a cover of Thunder and Roses, a rather obscure rock act from the 1960s. They produced just one album, King of the Black Sunrise, released in 1969. Guitarist Chris Bond would go on to play with and produce for Hall and Oates. Surprisingly, the track features some of Cobain's best guitar work. The track is also an early example of Nirvana choosing to play covers rather than their own songs during media appearances (think of MTV Unplugged).
