Noel Gallagher was snapped hugging former pop rival Damon Albarn after this week's Brit Awards ceremony, burying the hatch after years of bickering. The two musicians ended their famous feud last October after they met in a nightclub and let bygones be bygones. The pair hadn€™t spoken for over 15 years after the battle in the charts over the number one spot back in 1995 where Blur€™s €˜Country House€™ beat Oasis€™ €˜Roll With It€™. Gallagher also said this week that he€™d rather work on new material with Blur frontman Damon Albarn, who he described as "mad as a box of frogs€ than Radiohead. In a recent interview Gallagher said that he was glad that had got back on speaking terms with Albarn. €œIt was a great relief. I€™m glad I€™ve seen him and shook his hand and apologised for all the shit,€ the singer/guitarist said. When asked if he would rather record with Damon Albarn or Radiohead, the ex-Oasis guitarist said: €œIf I was going to make a record it€™d be Damon. For a start, he€™s as mad as a box of frogs. Number two, he€™d get loads of hip-hop dudes working on it, which itself would be mental. And number three? It would be a better record." Gallagher has been working with dance duo Amorphous Androgynous, but because the duo missed the deadline for finishing the album, the recording process has not gone as smoothly as planned. €œIt€™s turned into a right saga. They€™re trying to mix it while I€™m on the road and it isn€™t working,€ he told one magazine. €œI€™ve got a break in the middle of this tour in July, so now the plan is to do something then, and then to finish it off after the tour in October. So it might come out at the end of the year, but it€™s more likely to be next year now.€ Gallagher is due to be awarded the Godlike Genius award at this year€™s NME Awards later this month (February 29th) and will also be performing at the ceremony. Last year saw Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl collect the Godlike Genius award.
