Radiohead: Every Album Ranked Worst To Best

7. Amnesiac

Amnesiac is strange beast, in that whilst it was released as a studio album, everyone was well aware it was really just a B-side to the much more successful Kid A, which came out less than nine months earlier.

But despite its image problem, the album has a lot working for it. Once you get passed its slightly jarring experimentation and inconsistent tone, there's a lot to be enjoyed in tracks like Life In A Glasshouse, which closes the record on a bluesy, melodic high, and the atmospheric Pyramid Song.

As noted, there are issues with the album's overall pace and feel, but Amnesiac features enough of the band's biggest selling points to make for an intriguing listening experience, especially in moments where Thom Yorke is coming in strong with exhilaratingly political lyrics.

Like Pablo Honey and The King of Limbs before, it's not a bad album by a long, long way, but compared the band's other output, it's also far from a knockout.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
