Jim Morrison is possibly the most mysterious and intriguing character on this whole list; lyrical he seems so vague, yet appears so deep. He seemed very fragile, yet glowing with mystical confidence, with quotes that show signs of both lunacy and genius in the same sentence. Case in point below:
"I think in art, but especially in films, people are trying to confirm their own existences."
What couldn't be debated about the singer was his ability to make incredible music. Morrison's band, The Doors, created timeless rock songs. Many of which have been covered time and time again, by modern artists. The band have also been awarded an extensive list of accolades, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Even Morrison's death is heavily debated and mysterious. The rock star died in a bath tub in Paris, with his official death certificate stating that he passed away due to natural causes, heart failure to be precise. Friends of Morrison have since publically suggested that the singer died of a heroin overdose, a matter which was covered up by his drug dealers. Other artists on the list have received a lot of recognition and trophies since they passed away, but I'm pretty sure Jim Morrison is the only entry to have had a species of lizard named after them. A recently discovered fossil showcasing a large lizard was named Barbaturex morrisoni, in tribute of the singer.
