Ranking Every Metallica Album From Worst To Best
9. Reload (1997)
Best Tracks: The Unforgiven II, Fuel, The Memory Remains
Worst Track: Better Than You
Reload was the second part of the band's late-90s stylistic departure into even slower, more rock n' roll fare. Their last album of the 90s isn't bad, but a good number of the songs unfortunately blur together, even if there are at least three classics on the record.
Prince Charming is also a hidden gem that's rarely talked about, but ultimately Reload just feels too similar to Load (somewhat appropriately given the name).
Two Metallica albums in the space of 18 months may have seemed like a welcome return to the output speed of their earlier content, but ended up being more focused on quantity than quality.
