Ranking Every Slipknot Album From Worst To Best

1. We Are Not Your Kind (2019)

In short, We Are Not Your Kind is the most important and relevent album that Slipknot has produced. Period.

WANYK boasts the strongest start to an album since Iowa with Insert Coin bleeding into the instant classic Unsainted, followed by the retrograde feel of Birth Of The Cruel. This makes a very bold statement right from the outset.

The album delivered what can only be described as a masterpiece. The band toys with their most experimental side with the eerie Spiders and the unnervingly vulnerable My Pain, with fans feeling every single word. It also delivers for the old school Maggots with a barrage of absolutely brutal songs including Solway Firth, Orphan and Red Flag, showing the signature ‘Knot charm that is truly unforgiving.

We Are Not Your Kind has something for every Slipknot fan without compromising the integrity of the musically twisted soul and heart found on the early albums. It seems like the ‘Knot finally understand who they are and where they are suppose to be. They have finally found their true balance and the album will act as a catalyst for all that Slipknot will be going forwards.

We Are Not Your Kind is a statement for all the fans who feel like they don't fit, a phrase to shout at the bullies of the world, giving a true sense of belonging for fans when they need it the most.

No matter how many times the band appears on the verge of collapse, it rises like a phoenix from a fire that will never be extinguished.

We Are Not Your Kind is that very symbolic firebird, and the reason this metal paragon takes top spot.
