Sonisphere 2014: 10 Reasons It's Going To Be Festival Of The Year
7. It's Not Too Big
Festivals can sometimes be a bit of a hassle can't they? Walking about all the time can feel like a burden and - especially if it's muddy and you need to wear wellies - legs can start to ache, and go numb; it's easy to end up as a grumpy party-pooper. But despite the fact that Knebworth Park is relatively big in the scheme of things, it's actually quite cosy. At Download Festival, the walk from the parking area to the campsite and eventually to the main arena feels a bit like a mountain climb, or some kind of weird pilgrimage - with camping gear, the entire journey can easily cause fatigue before even reaching the destination. Luckily, this journey is significantly shorter for Sonisphere. But it's not just the campsite walk that's shorter, as the arena itself is smaller and much more simply laid out than Download, Reading and Leeds. So you can see all your favourite bands, with less of the hassle.
