3. Iron Maiden
https://twitter.com/Coverslave/status/485807856030318592 There is little to say about Iron Maiden that hasn't been said before, but that isn't to their detriment, as the band proved exactly why they've earned their status as the grand old dukes of metal music, as well as how they've managed to sustain more than 2 years of the Maiden England tour without dropping energy or impact. After 2 years and countless shows, you would expect perfection, and Bruce Dickinson's assertion that the final show here was the culmination of everything that came before it proved entirely apt. The set was slick, the timing to perfection and the transitions to anthemic song after anthemic song flawless. The band aren't getting any younger, but their stage presence suggests otherwise, with Dickinson in particular drawing suspicions of supernaturality, having earlier dazzled the crowd with an extended air show commemorating the Battle Of Britain. And love them or hate them, you just can't fault their live performance prowess.
