The Kinks: Their 10 Greatest Songs

7. Tired Of Waiting Of You

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkBvsBpgGbo Taken from the album: Kinda Kinks (1965) "Tired of Waiting for You" was a massive hit on its release in January 1965 reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and No.6 in the US. An engaging love song which seems to have two meanings, "Tired Of Waiting For You" contains some beautiful Ray Davies lyrics which are again the highlight of the show. Either the protagonist of the song is waiting for the girl of his dreams to reveal herself or he has already met her and she is making him wait before consumating the relationship, the relationship going nowhere in his eyes. I've never been able to decide on which meaning rings true but nevertheless the song remains a high point in The Kinks career and is another picturesque piece of pop perfection.

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
