Rust in Peace USE THIS ONERecommended Track: Holy Wars... The Punishment Due, a stunning opening track which perfectly encapsulates the records intention; blistering thrash designed to hit with the force of a nuclear attack. Quite simply one of the finest songs in thrash history. Megadeth's fourth album made it to Number 3 on my 10 Greatest Thrash Metal Album list and for good reason - this is precision thrash played to absolute perfection by a band operating at the peak of their powers. The line-up of Dave Mustaine (guitar and vocals), Marty Friedman (guitar), David Ellefson (bass) and Nick Menza (drums) proved to be the finest and most productive of Megadeth's existence and they came up with the goods on this thrilling example of technically astonishing thrash. Bouncing back triumphantly from drink and drug addiction, Dave Mustaine had the bit between his teeth once again and thankfully this renewed vigour and thirst for success produced the greatest album in Megadeth's long and illustrious career.
