Top 5 Obscure Metallica Tracks

2. Wasting My Hate

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoIHOD5kn2o Hidden in the less explored back half of Load, this track is a fantastic blues influenced groove mixed with Metallica's signature heavy sound that results in a pretty cool and fun track. This song has it's own cult following among the Metallica fanbase, and it doesn't often see live play compared to other tracks of its era. At the 30th Anniversary celebration gigs in San Francisco in 2011, the song was played for the first time in years to great reception by the fans, who not only sang the fun, melodic chorus, but even the bluesy opening riff that the song is built around. Lyrically, there's not much going on with the song, but in terms of the music, it is one of the better products of the huge blues influence on Load/Reload era Metallica.
