4. Franz Ferdinand - Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action
It may have taken them almost 5 years to release their 4th album but it was well worth the wait. Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action is classic Franz Ferdinand. A truer sounding successor to their debut, this album sees Franz centering most of the songs around their guitars such as they did on their debut, while also sprinkling in the best parts of previous albums You Could Have It So Much Better and Tonight. While every song on the album is exceptional and catchy, it is the 1-2-3 punch of "Right Action", "Evil Eye" and "Love Illumination" that kick starts the album and never lets up. You catch a little breather half way through with "Fresh Strawberries" which is like a massage for your ear drums, but before you can catch your breath, you are struck with the appropriately titled "Bullet". Its insanely catchy chorus will be a bullet in your head for weeks on end. Franz Ferdinand may have left us for a while, but you will easily forgive them for their absence once you start tapping your foot and dancing to their latest release.
