4. Scattering The Ashes

Speaking about Scattering the Ashes, Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu says “I took a trip with my family to spread the ashes of my grandparents. It was really emotional. When I got back, I jotted the title down and started working on the song. The rest of the guys took it to the next level.”

Taking the deeply personal experience and turning it into an anthem makes Scattering the Ashes both emotional and life affirming through its epic guitars and vocal lines. The song boasts the kind of guitar line you can sing along to, massive melody and backing vocals so fun to join in with that you’ll wish you had a duet partner.

This isn’t even as good as the songs get on this album either, how on earth are the band going to be able to choose which songs to play live? Maybe they'll just have to do some full album sets because there's too much we don't want to miss.
