7. Crying - Roy Orbison

I don't think anything needs to be said about the lyrics - after all the song is titled "Crying" so there isn't exactly room for confusion. What I do want to talk about is that voice. There are few artists in history with such a vocal range as Roy Orbison and to make the transition seem so effortless is nothing short of spectacular. I'm sure that Roy could make pretty much anything sound like pure emotion. They just don't make them like this anymore and regardless of whether you like his music or not, Roy Orbison deserves the respect of absolutely everyone. Taste is subjective, talent is not.
