Valentine's Day: 20 Greatest Love Songs Of All Time

11. "Is This Love"- Bob Marley

http://youtu.be/UyyAf45bCRE There€™s more to Bob Marley than weed. He wrote politically charged lyrics that dealt with topics like racism and pan-African consciousness while dropping little pearls like these, €œOne good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain€ and €œLife is one big road with lots of signs. So when you€™re riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts; put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live!€ Pretty profound, right? He also wrote love songs. €œIs this love€ dropped in 1978 on his Kaya album. This is a great reggae song for non-reggae listeners: 1) You can actually understand him 2) The song has a lot of Ska/R&B-type influence (check out the horns) 3) Nobody€™s yelling €œkill whitey€ or giving you subliminal messages to smoke weed (which is the secret fear of all non-reggae listeners). Personally, I love the Corinne Bailey Rae cover, which she won a Grammy for.
