Wale: His 10 Best Tracks You Need To Hear

5. Beautiful Bliss Feat J Cole €“ Attention Deficit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcmpJX_FSFw Production: 10 Lyrics/Flow: 10 Message: 7 Notable Lyrics:WALE:€œFresh out the airport/Fresh out the chair with the clippers/Like Shaun living, thinking hmm/I'm trying to get it like Sean get it/If lord giveth a mill and a milf light skinneded/It's slight blemishes in life€™s system/But I'm giving it foundation when I write lyrics/That anvil Neidhart minus bright knickers/Maybe not quite the star but my heart's in it/When Bret Hart meet Brett Favre/A sharp shooter well exceeding any figure four€ €œPeep me how I'm raising up the capital from Nathan/Capital I'm raising like I'm through punctuating/Or shift keys or it I placement cause/Shifted keys gets your capital raised up€ J COLE: €œI'm definitely in a class of my own, at dinner with Hov/Hoping that he pass the baton, he just pass the Patron/Ain't nothing given, dog, it's earned if you just living dog, you learn/I let you n***as see the light I'm like the prison yard, I yearn/For that living large, but mama I ain't done yet/Sit back and watch your sunrise/Kick back and know yo son set/Forever I ain't run yet and I never will/Nas told me life's a b*tch/Pac said f*ck the world and I ain't come yet/You up yet/My punchlines like gut checks I'm raw-dog/I'm rough sex/I'm on deck I'm up next/I'm godbless, I'm success so f*ck stress/You can get the f*ck from around me/And if you listening know you wondering/Where the f* they found me I'm from the Ville, boy€ Ok, this song is famous for J.Cole pulling an Eminem and stealing the show from someone on their own song. But Wale has never gotten full credit for his bars on this track either. A major contributor to the public perception of Cole winning the track is how they formatted it; while both artists rapped the same amount of time, Cole went straight through for 32 lines, and made it hard to remember what Wale actually said. Giving an artist as talented as Cole, 32 bars was questionable in hindsight, but the song totally achieved its goal. Green Lantern and Mark Ronson composed one of the most grandiose rap beats of all time, and Wale and Cole simply took it home. It's a lyrical battering with these two young lions, even if though they weren€™t reenacting €œRenegade€ as much as people like to claim. This is the 2009 €œBrooklyn€™s Finest,€ letting the rap game know that the future had arrived.
