The A-Z Of 2013's Breakout Acts

As we rapidly approach the date of the 2014 Grammy Award's ceremony, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence will likely be waiting for the date in an excitable fashion. Though not the favourites to win Best Dance Album for their debut release, 'Settle', the fact that they have been nominated shows just how far they have come in the world of electronic music over the past twelve months. 'Settle' went to #1 in the UK in June, but was preceded by the release of several EPs and three successful singles, Latch (featuring Sam Smith), White Noise (featuring AlunaGeorge) and You & Me (featuring Eliza Doolittle). Singles released after the launch of the album, including a collaboration with London Grammar, have fared less well, but given the duo's appearances at events including Glastonbury, Lollapalooza and Coachella, they have certainly done enough to build up a fanbase on both sides of the Atlantic, one which will be eager to hear the sounds that they come up with next. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkk2H3Ztrfk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBW9VEE29W4
