8. There Are More Years Between (Some Of) The 90s And 2015 Than The Moon Landings And The 90s
Similar to the last 'fact', this one has a very specific purpose for a very specific group: people born in the early-mid 90s who want to relate to each other about feeling 'old'. Firstly, people who say this are not old - they're 25, max. Seriously. Secondly, they basically just said that the act of counting is astonishing. Did you know that 7 is closer than 10 than 10 is to 15? Did you know that 1+4 is greater than the sum of 2+2? Careful, mister, those facts could put an eye out. What's particularly galling about this fact is that it somehow equates 'the 90s' to landing on the moon. One is an event which involved thrusting living humans safely across 384,000 km of lifeless, deadly space with nothing more than
handwritten code and the processing power of a pocket calculator; and the other is a period of time that ... happened. The Apollo 11 team probably don't think this fact is amazing. Seriously, ask them. They'll break your arm.
