It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is technically an ensemble comedy, with Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Frank, and Dee all sharing the spotlight. But for some reason, all of the scenes that showcase the freakish relationship that exists between Charlie and Frank become definite highlights of the show. There's just something about the way that Charlie Day and Danny Devito play off each other and the weird little life they've made for themselves. After all, they are the Gruesome Twosome! More than any of the other characters, who are only too willing to screw each other over, Charlie and Frank are best friends. Despite the fact that by all accounts Frank is a very wealthy man, he chooses to live with Charlie in the disgusting hole he calls an apartment. They have their own routines, they sleep in the same bed...basically, they're married. It would be awesome to see these two work on a project other than Sunny, especially now that the world has seen that they're soulmates.
