10 Best Terry Pratchett Books
7. Going Postal
One of Pratchett's most famous books due to its TV adaptation in 2010, Going Postal was published in 2004 and sees us introduced to the characters Moist von Lipwig and Adora Belle. Going Postal was nominated for a Nebula Award in 2005, showing its influence and grand reputation.
In this book, Moist von Lipwig is a conman to be hanged but thanks to the work of the all-seeing Lord Vetinari, he is saved at the last possible moment. In return, Moist is given the chance to revive Ankh-Morpork's as good as dead postal services which have laid barren in the city for years. With decades worth of undelivered post left at the office, Moist is given a shock with some of his discoveries and the biggest shock of all comes from the now sentient piles of post.
However, this phenomenal tale of opportunity, mystery and redemption is an unmissable novel for fantasy fans, which is made even more powerful by Pratchett's distinct delivery.
