10 Bizarre Place Names You Won't Believe Are Real

7. Nether Wallop, Hampshire, UK

Ouch! This sure sounds painful. Visit at your nether regions' own risk... Of course, they're not really in any danger here. Nether Wallop is a sleepy, tranquil village located in the scenic English county of Hampshire, cosily packed in with Middle Wallop and Over Wallop. The Nether of the Wallops is famed for not only being one of England's prettiest villages, but also serves as the filming location for the BBC's adaptation of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. Yep... So while Nether Wallop isn't especially rock 'n' roll, its name at least should induce a chuckle. Oh, and it has a pretty good pub too, apparently.
