McDonalds came out with the Big Mac in order to compete with Burger Kings Whopper. It makes you wonder why BK then came up with the Big King, a blatant knockoff of the Big Mac. This burger was a staple on the menu throughout the 90s until it was discontinued. Reemerging in November 2013, nothing has changed. Equipped with dual-layer burger technology, the Big King gives each of its beef patties its own throne to sit upon. The bottom patty lay covered in American cheese while the top patty carries the load of the veggies. Somewhere inside, you can find a smothering of thousand-island style dressing assumably BKs version of the lucrative Big Mac sauce. Just Why, Burger King?
