10 Comedy Podcasts You Need To Listen To Right Now

3. If I Were You

Jake and Amir If I Were You
bustedtees.com

An advice podcast from the minds of collegehumour.com's Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld, the US comedy double-act utilise their tight friendship to provide guidance to anonymous emailers looking for help in very real sticky situations.

With Amir as the anxious sidekick to Jake's pseudo frat boy persona, the two tackle an enormous spectrum of problems, dishing out advice for lovelorn teenagers navigating choppy romantic waters, explaining how to cope with an overly aggressive birds outside your window, or more recently, tackling the complex American political climate.

Kept almost exclusively light-hearted, the duo almost always veer off topic into tangents that reveal personal experiences of their own that are surprisingly close to the problem at hand, and have an exceptional give-and-take when it comes to sharing their own emotional highs and lows.

Welcoming regular special guests, they have mastered improvising with a vast range of star hosts, including Bo Burnham, Thomas Middleditch, Rose McIver, Ben Schwartz, and most awkwardly, Jake's mother Laura.

Nurturing a fabulous relationship with listeners and contributors, the two also welcome fan-made theme songs, which normally adds a hilarious and varied element to each of the two hundred and fifty-something episodes in the archive.
