There is a KFC and a pizza hut in Kathmandu but, alas, no sign of a Big Mac. As with many developing countries, some restaurants use the name to promote their own burgers. The Everest burger seems like a distinct possibility though, surely it can't be too long until the highest mountain in the world is emblazoned with the yellow arches...
1. Mongolia
There is still no sign of a Big Yak burger in Mongolia, perhaps fast food is too tender for the hardy Mongols? It's a shame really because goat, yak and camel would slip seamlessly into McDonalds menus. The nation's most famous son and founder of the Mongol empire, Genghis Kahn, would have undoubtedly enjoyed a 20 mutton mcnuggets meal after one of his trademark bloodthirsty conquests...
